I think China should improve operation, sale, and profit management to stay competitive. There are still many other things that Chinese companies can improve on. But Chinese are great businessmen, I am pretty sure China will stay on top of the global stage soon....

The fact is that China is getting very expensive and the downside is that they do not care about quality! There is also no product guarantee that you can rely on!

Of couse I generalise, there may be some good Chinese companies, but I am yet to find them!

Read my post about Hunter Motorcycles!! If they after 12 years in business do not care about their customers, my advice is BE CAREFUL!!

I do not think so, China with vast land and populated, these two resources take more than 50 years before China cope up their labour and land proportionally in China. So this is the matter on how the Chinese Government should look into the management to ensure labour and land are properly develop in a proportional manner. There are still a lot of labour and land in China yet to utilise, how can we say China is loosing out to Vietnam is just a small country compare to China in term of land area and population. Right ? I am sure India will be China competitor if India government planned properly. Both are very similar in term of land and population size.

I think the reason why china is loosing its edge. It's because they do not snd the PRODUCT that you percheas they show you a picture send you something compleaty didderent.

so people are afraid to buy from them. they even send picture of other  people product saying it is theres, then they count produce, after one buys the droduct. they cant deliver beause they did not have it in the first place. You fool someone sometimes you caunt fool them all the time. They dont know once they cheat you are going to be afraid to do buisness with them again.

Yes china is loosing buyer’s big time right now;

Wal-Mart have announce that they will move 40% of the purchase from China to other areas,

Adidas are moving most of there production to other areas,

Ford was suppose to open a new factory in China with 5000 new staff, but have now desisted to open in Rumania,

I am sure there is many more,

Goods there is not up the standard and suppliers cut corners to make a few extra $,

Tomas the Train, recall for millions, painted with led due to the supplier change the quality,

Martel, had to recall for many millions of toy due to the supplier change the quality,

Tires, tires for 60 Mill USD recall due to the supplier change the quality,

I am sure there is many more,

The low quality, lack of legal support and protection for buyers, the high amount of fraud and scam are starting to get back to China now,

There is other areas who now is cheaper and more reliable and I am also moving on[em4]

I agreed with MBM. Chinese manufacturers need to be more competitive in term of creativity and pricing of consumer products  though they could achieved till now,but product quality most manufacturers still lack of, due to poor concept and skill of management in manufacturing process, quality control and production, these areas they should learn from Japanese, Taiwanese and Korean yet keep pricing lower that is their challenge to compete with these countries. Frankly China has the low cost manufacturing advantages, they just need to transform it without following US, Europe, Japan, Taiwan or Korea that their cost of living is too high products made are costly.  For high end products, R&D skill and management, creativity should learn from American, European and Japanese.

China should be able to stay competitive more years to go, the simple reason, they are the most populated (still many unemployments) with still large area of land to develop. If they are not, they are the ones to blame themselve.
