I am working for a trading company, in the working days, something is always making me unhappy. that is my not confident in all my fairs espacially in my English.

Sometimes I received calls from abroad and they are speaking english, then i will be very unconfident with myself then i will other colleagues to receive that.

How can be confident with myself?

' Practise makes perfect !' , I think you have no shortcuts in learning a foreign language in China. Try to study and practise more, gradually you will build up your confidence with your good English soon !

Yes your English is poor. But you are not expected to communicate well in a language which is not your native one. A way to better your English is to use it as often as you can. Maybe you could take some lessons. Reading is an excellent way of improving your writing skills

Evidently you already found the worst obstacle to communicating with foreigners: lack of self-confidence! There is only one way to overcome that, and that is becoming "shameless". Not absolutely shameless of course, but you know what I mean.

Other forum members have already given you good advice how to achieve that, and if all that fails, I have another advice I was given when I was a soldier. Somebody counseled me, "if you are afraid of a superior, imagine him naked; he'll look ridiculous, you'll crack up, and all fear will be gone". - Try that next time! [em2] [em19]

It's of course good to be concerned about others, but don't go too far with that. It's also good to drink water, but you won't drink a thousand liters a day, would you? Sometimes you have to establish very clear and respected (by you) limits. [em2]
