Replying to [sece3h]:sece3h, for those of you to young to remember the first CD based game console was the 3DO not Nintendo. Actually both Sony and Nintendo Jointly bought the rights for the 3DO system. Sony was going to produce the systems and Nintendo was the handling the programing and software rights. However, there was a break down between Sony and Nintendo which scaraped the joint effort. Nintendo split off by itself looking for a new partner. While Sony ran with the project puting out the PS1. Needing software and new gaming titles Sony went to Electronic Arts the biggest manufacturer of gaming software. The reason they went to Electronic Arts was the fact that the founder of 3DO was also the Co-founder of Electronic Art's and the biggest reason it took so long for Nintendo to come out with a CD based system. So Nintendo did blow it in a way, but they did not sell the technology as they were only 50% owners of the technology. Incidentally the first CD game console sold for $799.00USD in 1993.

We know many supplier say they sell these in China, and maybe some could, if they bought some from Japan, but as we have seen so many are scammers.
Very easy to find these out with simple due diligence steps.

Copy PS3 are widely available.
I recently looked at a website - their front page contained the disclaimer that all of their products were copies. And what a variety there was! Including a 'Playstation' that looked completely convincing to me.
But be careful all you Brits - Customs is on the lookout for any dodgy goods come in (they are confiscated). Where that fails, Trading Standards will step in and hold you legally responsible for any counterfeit goods you sell.
That said, I'm convinced that the price for consoles on eBay has been completely undermined by such copy products. Little wonder that the scammers are having such a blast - more and more honest people are resorting to trade with dubious characters in order to stay in business... sad.
