Buddy , I think you choose china to buy is a good choice , but sometimes it depends , you know flash price is different as different time , it rise and down , depends on market , I'm in business of flash drive , if you tell me that you bought this flash the early of this year , it was a good price anyway . recently becomes more cheap .
I think it is very important you also find a good forwarder which help you to reduce the freight cost .

You don't have any knowledge on the USB,always seeking for the cheapest price,that is a stupid idea.What you paid,what you get.You couldn't and never use only USD 1 to get a stuff worths USD 10,that is preposterous.There are many kinds of memory chips in the market,they have same surface,even you insert the usb into your pc,is also shows 1gb,2gb,no any problems,but when you use it,when you use is for a while,you will find where the problem is.

in fact, the price not so expensive ,but also not as cheap as you want 50% for 1gb..
Why not try to ask more factories ?

First of all , I think you should know more about the makeup of the COST , salary , cost of material , workmanship and the system control . everything is important to the total cost , in the comment above , I agree that the selection of different chips effects the total cost , in my point , the quality also impacts the cost , if your customer always complains you about the poor quality , the USB breaks down after using several times , how to guarantee the next order .
So you have to go to the plant for more information , what material is being used , how about the workmanship , chip used and so on , and then decide what you want , lower price is not the only consideration .
