I think you should find a reliable chinese person to help you!

He/ She maybe your parterners or from your other suppliers who you have cooperate with him/she for several years . so that you can have at least 80% confident that you can buy the good quality and good price products.

By the way , some commission for he/she is indeed.

Our country is a very big country . For your business , you have to recognize good suppliers from too many possible suppliers for your projects here .

Frankly speaking , verification is very important in international business and it is impossible to request  100% suppliers  to be 100%professional. You will have to do your own homework to get the right one and try to the right things right the first time . Pretty sure that there are also lots of quality suppliers in China if you work hard on it .

Regarding of the language problem , you may just hire one agent to help you accordingly. Then you will find business comes more easy and clear.Obviously , you will also have to pay certain agreed amount to the agent to make him happy.  If he is happy and he will work hard and will always stand on your side not getting hidden commissions from your suppliers .

Above are just my thought..

Donot lose confidence , just do it ! But remember , try to do the right things right at the first time -----------this is most important !
