[em10] I am from China, and I have been in the job as a foreign trader.

I am a little confused about contacting with foreigners. I have some customers, but when I gave them the quotation list, then no reply again.

Could you some one tell me what can I say in the following email ? i have nothing to say just say did you receive my email and how about our quotation, then no words.

Just a little confused.

Hope some can help me.

You should try harder, buddy.

Try to introduce the product you are going to sell in more details. Let him know that you are serious when doing business, and your willingness to make this deal with him. Try to hide the dark side of the s , everything has two sides, your customer is going to take full advantage of the good side. So you don't have to let him know the dark side if it's not too bad to kill his pleasure with your product.

And at last, don't offer him your last price in the first quotation.

Good luck

You will get used to this situation soon.
After your quotation, many many buyers won't reply you except someone who's really interested in your quotations will ask more.
So, be more patient.[em3]

When giving quote, you try to give the best price because you are competing with other suppliers. If you quote is not good enough, I sure won't be getting in touch with you.

And buyers are not idiots, if I go with your quote and then find a better price elsewhere, then I know you are trying to cheap me and you will lose my business for ever.

Many many chinese suppliers have this question as you...
Me, too.
But let's have a searching in alibaba, you will find so many suppliers and so fewer buyers...So no wonder such a small probability we get the replies...

However, we still should be active and patient to reply the inquiries- we can't get gain for every pain, but no pain, no gain is the truth.

It is normal. As it is a buyer's market now.
Just be patient and show your sincerity to all buyers.[em1]

Hello to all,
If someone ask your quotation that means they are already interesting your products and they will compare your price with others, I am sure they will ask as much company asking for Quotation, Then will choose the best price,
and also when you make quotation always write there your full company name address tel, and fax. more detials is better.!

Good Luck.!

My friends, I thinks you are wrong, because of you said '' And at last, don't offer him your last price in the first quotation.''

That means even before you start to business you have already lost your change.!
Quotation means is your last final price many company will accept that.
but you should play your price role before you send your quotatin. NOT AFTER!!

Good Luck!

Hi, why do not try to give a phone call to the customer and be polite and ask him if he has any comments, normally he will tell you something, or may tell you the price is higher, anyway just keep close to the customer so he can understand you are so serious for the business.
