Can you tell me something about the inkjet printer inks I mean whether they are water based or solvent based.


I need this information urgently

Hi Anshu,
1- Dye based (water-based) inks:
consists of de-ionized water as the solvent, isopropyl alcohol or glycol as the drying agent, and dye base to provide the color, suitable for straightforward monochrome type of printing because it take about ten seconds to get dried up.

2- Pigmented (solvent-based) inks:
waterproofed and comes with fade resistant quality. Pigmented inks are good option for color printing, because pigment particles are coated with a polymer material to generate a static charge around the particle which then keeps the particles from clumping, recommended for all printing.
