EMS Shipping Tracking Numbers

Has anyone ever had a problem confirming shipping status using EMS tracking numbers? I got some tracking numbers from a shipper and I get nothing when I plug them in and this is the 4th day now (3/23/08)

Replying To [TraderMan]:I would give it another day or two, sometimes China is very slow in getting tracking numbers up. If within the next 2 days nothing happens, I would check with the Supplier again to see if he gave you the right tracking number

EMS express of the delivery time are a little late than some other express company. But usually it taking one week to arrive at customer's side. if the parcel didn't checking by the custom.
It will taking 3-4days to arrive at you from china.
If you can checking the No on the website.
they are definitely sent out the parcel to you.
If you can't tracking the right no.
you will not have the parcel except the supplier give u the right NO.

It's just common. Cuz EMS sucks.
Try to track your package 2 days later, maybe you will get some information about your package by then.

Replying to [TraderMan]: Your right EMS is used by some scammers because it is easier to fool a customer with fake tracking. This is why the others like FEDEX,UPS and DHL are more secure. The reason is that the tracking tells you the time and date of receipt and departure from any hub where your package is. EMS does not offer this. Its like USPS priority mail confirmation. In that only when the package has been presented for delivery will you be able to see information about the package.

YES!!! SAME PROBLEM HERE. I HAD A PACKAGE LEAVE 10 DAYS AGO AND IT STILL HAS NOT MADE INTO THE USPS SYSTEM. YOU CANNOT EMAIL EMS OR ANYTHING. THEIR SITE IS TERRIBLE. IF YOU CALL FROM THE STATES IT TELLS YOU THE NUMBER IS INVALID. USPS SAYS THEY DO NOT HAVE POSSESSION OF IT. MY PACKAGE HAD TIME SENSATIVE MATERIALS IN IT AND THE SHIPPER HAS TRIED AND TRIED TO CONTACT EMS WITH NO UPDATE OTHER THAN WHAT THEY SHOW ON THE EMS SITE, WHICH IS "SORTED". NEXT TIME, WE ARE USING DHL OR TNT.
HOW LONG DID IT TAKE FOR YOUR PACKAGE TO ARIVE?
