This is Brandon Olsen. I have been reading forms for the past few months to get a feel for this Alibaba website and learn the ropes. So far I have learned a lot, but I have a question. I have read a number of forms and posts and have found that there are no real distributers of name brand electronics on here, they are all scams. Some of these forms have suggested to look at the manufaturers websites, but almost all of them are selling laptops for the same price as stores like Future Shop and Best Buy etc. Where can I get laptops so that I'm not having to pay the same amount from some distributer as I can from Future Shop? Ive been to apple.com, hp.com and lots of those websites and they are all at basiclly the same prices as the large electronics stores. Where do large companies get their stock cheep enough to sell for such low prices? Is it simply because they are able to buy them in such large quantities that they get amazing discounts or is there a manufacturer that actually sells laptops for a lower than retail price? Mabye I should just can the idea of selling laptops for money. I have not heard of a successful story of someone who has purchased name brand laptops for a good price and sold them for profit. It might indeed be a better idea to look for another business. The market is swamped with computers, and though the total sales is high, the retail seller doesn't really make any money. Too much competition!

In another forum somebody just made a great suggestion: look for what you can get easily (and preferably know very well) and among that, for what you can sell easily.

Everything is relative, of course, as it still is work to do, but that might be a better approach than selling what "everybody" sells.

what type of laptop you want and in what quantity.

 

Im finding similar problems facing me brandon.

I too am looking for an honest laptop provider.

I am getting incredible quotes from alot of chinese suppliers for example, apple macbook pro's for 700 USD! when they retail in the UK at £1400+..

Sounds too good to be true? I'm yet to find someone that speaks decent enough english to solidify that relationship without having to visit china myself and find a supplier...

Im not willing to risk my money communicating with someone that barely speaks english, or not to a good enough standard to send them my money via bank transfer!

Are there any REAL suppliers out there for high quality laptops at good prices?

Please get in touch if there are! but you must be able to speak good enhlish and present the credentials to prove your business and honesty and integrity through references.

You can't find real distributers of name brand electronics except scams. As a Chinese, I can tell you that 100% sure.

Official distributors are not hiding.   Just do a search on Google or Yahoo for the brand that you are looking for.  Most official web sites  will have a list of their distributors in each country that they work in.  You can also try the International Yellow Pages but  doing the search on Google or Yahoo should be very fast,  You should have the information that you need within 10 minutes. 



I have done this myself many times in more than on industry.
