China is a big place so it depends where you are going. The other guys are right that Spring and Fall are better, but if you are far North then early spring will still be cold. If you are South then Late spring may be getting very hot and humid.

hi if you any of your friend in china , better you can share the accomadation with them on sharing basis.this is the cheapest way.

regarding travelling its quite normal. when u compare china with IND or pak the transport system are very good & u can reach the places in time by using connecting trains.

Replying to [Afnan]:Firstly, I'd say welcome to China. Secondly, with respect to your question, you should know your purpose and location of travelling. As China is a big country, existence of huge difference gap is inevitable and unavoidable.Thirdly, travelling agency is not the best solution for me, but if you're unfamiliar with the country, it canbe an expedient way.Keep alarmed. Anyway, most of the Chinese are very generous and enthusiastic, besides you'll seen magnificent scenery and majestic view in China. Don't miss it.

Replying to [Afnan]:Dear Afnan,I think you downestimate the beauty of China, hehe.China is a country which is beautiful all over the year.In Spring and summer,I suggest you going to southern cities, like hangzhou, shuzhou where green leaves come out all over the city and make you feel in a green country. In autume and winter ,I suggest you going to Nothern cities, like Beijing and Helongjiang, where you can feel a strong warm-heartedness from those nothern people. Also you can see the quite beautiful snow there.Anyway,I suggest you coming to China this year,I think it will be your most unforgettable journey in China.

Replying to [Afnan]:It reallly depends on where you are going.
Shanghai is always expensive. If you are traveling to the south
it is quite uuncomfortable in the summer. It does tend to be cheeper
however.

Hi, If I were you, I will choose Summer, maybe from June to September. It won't be expensive only if you travel to China at the beginning of Oct. , in my opinion. [em3]

August is not good for tourists because of the Olympics, starting August 8, 2008 at 08:00 Hrs.

As most Chinese people like to travel, those from the Southern Province of Guangchou, would take a journey up to Beijing to view the Forbidden City. We met some who spoke the Cantonese dialect and immediately recognised them as Southerners.

Chinese from the cold, Heilong Jiang would like to go South during the 6 months of cold, spreading from third quarter to the first quarter of the year, the Northern part is icy cold, but if you want to see the ice sculpture, and art competition, it is in Mongolia.

In the South, there are many tourist places, such as the QUILIN lake. Take a river cruise on a boat and view the spectacular scene, which is like the Chinese paintings you can find almost everywhere. It is breath-taking and a memorable experience. There is also a miniature city, somewhat like the MARARODAM of Neitherlands, where the airport, the city, cars, planes are all mini version of the city. Best time is around March to May the latest, before the warm winter sets in. If you are from India, the warm weather will be blissful, and avoid the cold.

Later on, after the Summer, in the fall, go to the great gorges of Wuhan and take a cruise round the biggest man-made lake. The Hydro-electric Dam is simply breath-taking and the sight is panoramic. City of Dalian, there is a garden where there are sculptures and roads bridging the cliffs and mountains. Visit the "Magic Slope" where the cars parked with their brakes off slides uphill, defying gravity.
