In the USA we use the safest online banks possible to do transactions and it is easier for us to pay a company via PayPal, however, these companies in other countries wants us to wire money and we are unfamiliar with them. We need to meet in the middle.

This isn't Ebay... and Paypal is NOT a safe method of payment, try reading the fine print in Paypal some day!

Yes, PayPal is quick and easy to use for small amounts but it's not safe or economical for large amounts. Also PayPal only makes sense if both parties have a PayPal account. It is not widely used in Asia. Bank transfers have a transaction fee but they tend to come with far better exchange rates so, overall, they are cheaper to use for large amounts anyway.
