Certificate of Origin - Needed if only exporting from original manufacturer?
I have a clothing company in China and intend to get my product made by chinese manufacturers

I will attempt to distribute some of the clothing in China while the rest will be resold to other parts of Asia at later dates

When it comes to the CO - will I still need to provide a CO when I export to other countries even though I am not the original manufacturer of the clothing? If so, will I have to apply for a CO myself or should I obtain a CO from the original manufacturer to be used at later dates when exporting to other countries? I assume one individual CO is needed for each batch of product I export?

Thanks for the help

Replying to [Fugly]:

Both the manufacturer and their authorized distributors can apply and obtain a C/O from local government authorities in China. Take care !

Replying to [Fugly]: it's Form A or just CO? it depends on whether the importer needs or not. but mostly the importers prefer Form A or CO. they can enjoy tax favor with which.

Replying to [kksin]:

I see that you listed in taiwan - I am going to export clothes to Taiwan - Will I need C/O? How much tax rebate can you get in Taiwan with CO?

Also, I thought CO and form A are the same thing?

thanks [em2]

Re: Re: Re: Certificate of Origin - Needed if only exporting from original manufacturer?
Replying to [Fugly]:I do not think you can export your garments to TW easily from CN, that is ok to other coutries of Asia, and C/O should be required by customer, suggest you to double check with your customer before shipping, sometimes, the small quantity shipments would not require a C/O. Secondly for your garments planing to sell to other parts of CN, C/O will not be required but your manufactuer should be set up and belonging to internal business.

Certificate of Origin is required by EU & other countries: The duty depends on the GSP ( CO) of the product and it is  where from .
