More addresses in address bar
Post 1 of 12
I have Windows XP with its corresponding browser. When I click on the arrow on the right side of the address bar, a good number of recently used addresses shows up. But that isn't enough anymore.

Lately I have to go through many websites daily, and would like to increase the number of recently visited websites that are displayed there. Where and how could I change that?

I'm really not sure how you can increase the amount of recently viewed pages without using a addon for IE but an easy alternative would just to add all your needed websites to the "favorites center".

add the URL you are currently on:

view all your favorites:

Thanks, but adding them to my favorites is exactly what I would like to avoid... if possible.

I see. The only other solution i think would be to use the "history tab" in the favorites center instead of the drop down menu in the address bar but this again really dosnt answer your question. I'm really stumped on this one. [em28]

Anyone else have any ideas?

Well, creating a new folder within "favorites" or "bookmarked" seems to be the only viable solution, unless somebody chimes in with another option.

To create another folder within my "favorites" I right-click on a folder symbol (after opening "favorites"). The first line in the drop-down menu says "create a new folder". Just left-click on that, and you are "in business". Later you can re-name that new folder, also right-clicking on it.

How did you know I was waiting for you? Ok, no need to answer; I know why! [em1]

Anyway, I went to these sites and am still as dumb as before. It looks like they expect certain basic programming skills, which I don't have.

What else could I do?

Well, you can either have your PC specialist do it for you or you can go to this site:

http://www.filedudes.com/files/Speed_Dns_Cache.html

Download the trial version or full version of  O&O CleverCache Professional Edition 6.0 that you find below the google ads on the site.
