I am in the middle of lining up suppliers for the purchase of electronics, However my big comcern is that many of them only except wire transfer or electronic transfer of funds an which the buyer has little or no protection from fraud. How do I know that all the companys that are on the alibaba web site are trustworthy to deal with??

Absolutely not all the companies are trustworthy. Save your self dealing with Putian city companies almost most of them can't wait to rob you.
do background check on companies you think you want to deal with to verify if they really do exist like real manufacturers. background check will show what reputation they built dealing with customers, like often cheating or not. If you can find 100% trustworthy agent in China to investigate companies for you this is probably one of the best ways to crack scammers. good agent there could save you lots of headache and help build net of trustful suppliers for you

You mean sourcing agents? Just type "sourcing agent" in alibaba or google[em1]

Also, I believe some of 'em are on the forum.

No company is 100% trustworthy. So I think it should be the manuacturer who is to show sincerity at the first place, which means to accept some secured payment method to protect the buyer.

1. Use common sense: if it is too good to be true..it is not. Don`t let yourself get excited about the deal and think you are the one. You are notttttt ! It is posted on internet for all.... to think...i am the one. Keep your guards up, do not trust!!!!!  Trustworthy certificates, gold memberships and and and.... can be bought, therefore mean nothing.

The basic principle of spamming is: to get your money upfront, without delivering or deliver minor goods...and so on.

There are many advices on this forum. Some work, some don`t. You might just exchange one spammer with another.

The only way to secure your transaction 100% with money back guarantee insurance is:

You contact and send your L/C (or similar) to an international trust LAW firm, preferrably from USA or Europe. These lawyers have - by law- those responsibilities and have -by law- necessary insurances , and are -by law- required, to represent only your interests..

They will contact  on your behalf the chosen company and inform about the secured dealing procedures. Any serious company will accept it, even post it proudly on their website, to show the difference, and  prove they do serious business.

A company, that does not accept it.....forget.

The costs for those services are regulated by law and are relatively low ( 3-11%), but priceless in their efficiency of saving your money

The big global players in the world use it ...and so should you.

Email me your questions.
