Video games: Nitendo came up with the joystick which works like the real thing. Great invention, though the technology is not new, the Gyro Mouse works on this principal, but the application is.
X-Box came up with something new and become hot seller.
Sony PSP also bank on their high resolution graphics with near-real images.
So, what is new in toys that was not mentioned?
Remote controlled battery operated helicopter? Or a mobile phone size mini-computer that makes International phone calls over the IP (VOIP format) and gives your stock exchange report on the go and in realtime?

Last March, I went to a toy shop with my son-in-law and grandchild.
This place is like a paradise to a child, you can find all sorts of toys for infants from 1 to 3 years old.
A wooden toy caught my eyeball, it is a toy made of wood, simple but cleverly made, like a helicopter. The toy is hung on to the ceiling or a high bar on a spring. At the bottom there is a ring and string for the child to pull it down and then let go, the blades of the chopper will turn and some other actions by the pilot, waving his arm. It is genius work to design such a toy.
Most of us under estimated the simple toys, the less complicated the toy is, that lasts longest and had the child's attention for a long time. Wooden toys are also safe for the kids. Some plastics are considered unsafe for small children because they have sharp edges, or they can break and cut the child, or they contain lead coating which makes the surface shine.
These toys ought to have the ROHS certificate of approval for safety of the child.
