I help a buyer to source the PU bags from my local factories last year. I shipped the container to her country, as the container was too full to load, it left many cartons in my warehouse.

It has been more than 6 months for me to keep the goods.
Some orders from my other buyers would like come to my warehouse for storing and combination, but my warehouse is too full to store.

I understood before that the buyer would place the order again and ship the rest goods together. But it has been a long time.
Plus I almost lost her contact, I haven't got her replies after I sent her the emails and can't reach her phones.

I need to clear the order as soon as possible, so I will have the space for other goods.

What to do with the goods??? It gave me a headache!

Based on the work you do it may be best for you to follow your own heart in this regard. Others would consider the products abandoned if after a set amount of time the buyer had not made arrangements to have the products shipped to them.

An example might be.

That you will collect products for shipment for 30 days and that after that time the client needs to make arrangements for the shipment of those products. Then its really up to your generosity and the space you have in your warehouse. But as part of your service you could state that the products will be held for an additional time say 30 days at no charge and beyond that incurr a warehousing fee for six months after which time the products would be deemed abandoned allowing for the sale of the goods and a transfer of funds to the clients bank minus storage fee's and payment transfer fee's.

This of course would be in a formal contract between you and your client.

At any rate Jasimine only you can decide how strict or how leanent you wish to be. I know I would use your service based on the reccomendations of a few buyers on this site.

Best regards,

Ranger

Dear Friend

Your situation is quite common. i think the suggestion you got the normal logical thing to do. Either buyer compensate you for storage or you sell it to someone else.

Also we ourselves try to avoid such situations by tyring to plan material on basis of volume and wt. capacity of the container so that we are not left with excess material.

This this is finalized at the time of order finalization. It is logical as buyer wil rarely take a small LCL load.
