Replying to [Safe Trading Admin]: Resolution in (Indonesian) scam/fraud for Alibaba community !! Crimes is as old as human legend with no borderland on the earth. For the shake of developing a "feel of secure and piece" into Alibaba community. I propose to the respectfully "Forum" especially Alibaba chairmans, to establish the Council (honorable) under( suggest) STForum with below scheme: 1. Nomination a Councilor(=Konselier) by each country origin among the ABB forum members. Whom is able to, capable to and willing to be.. 2. Elect them as ABB had done with the Moderator and the favorite/idol ? but a bit moderate one, no need to be so tight criteria. Under consideration that at the first early stage, the priority is to build the Global council Net. by every country/state Origin to be as Alibaba Global Unioin. later at the establishment stage it could be improved/Upgraded. 3. Those Council would be the Sources of information, advisory, consultative and the Watchers for each own origin state. So the ABB's members that may have "some Que or Clue" with any of suspicious or even "case" could contact them accordingly. ( believe that most ABB members would happy with this) 4. On the other hand, ABB would provide a resource-net to verify the members (community) by involving those honorable council. (= Alibaba Global Union). In fact that every state/country got each own situation/condition that need the source to know it. ( imagine that"Alibaba's Union Flags in 5 Continents !) 5. The vision is " For A better (world) Global Biz (e-commerce) On-Line through Alibaba.net !" for the ABB community and for the world ! I do not write further in this short occasion, but I believe that the Senior and the Expert (especially the Moderator Level ) would catch the essential. Whoever read this proposal, please support us by reply it whatever the response are. in order to let it be developed/existed.

you not need, a leaded by helpers business, you need experienced, educated and not greedy businessman !
These will not fell in the existing scams all over the world, if you see all the complaint postings, at 99 % made by new members without a skill of the business !
If Alibaba would not allow to contact others before a new member has made, understand and confirmed a crash course in Safe Business, 90% of the scams would not happen on Alibaba !!! But this would lead to a massive loss in Gold and Trustpass Memberships !

I kinda agree, but not all Indonesian company that aggressively marketing their product is scammer. The rule of the thumb is if a deal is too good to be true, then you gotta take caution. I started to market our product through internet, and mostly the scammer come from Nigeria and Benin.

Dwiputra Mandiri Wirawan pt is afraud company.
A person from this company by the name Alliandy has contacted me through your website in response to a trade lead and offered Urea at good price.
I insisted to pay by L/C but he was adamant that he needed 100% cash upfront because of some complications with the shipment etc.
Since I have contacted most of my suppliers through alibaba and has sent to more than a dozen companies from various countries T/T in advance and never had problem and since he seemed a real company I decided to take a risk and paid for a container of 21 MT of urea FOB Jakarta for the amount of USD 5573.
The delivery date was to be 10 days after receipt of funds
.I Sent the money by wire transfer on the 25Th of February and he confirmed receipt of funds by email on the 29Th of February.
I put him in contact with my shipping agent to arrange for the shipment and after a few days my Shipping agent informed me that the Dwiputra Mandiri Wirawan pt had informed them that they could not get export licence.
I contacted by email to ask about the problem Mr Alliandy( if this is his real name )three times and he did not reply back, I tried repeatedly to contact him by telephone 6-7 times at the Office and the secretaries were just hanging up the phone to my face laughing whereas before they would transfer my calls immediately.
He also stopped answering his mobile phone.
After I sent him email threatening legal action through their consulate in my country he replied by email saying that he needed 4 more weeks to try and get the export licence.
I refused and asked for the return of the funds which he has said he would send asap but has not sent by the deadline which was today.

For not being scammed one must use their brain, their logical thinking and learn how to do a good business from their friends, widen their knowledge by reading alot etc. It is crusial for buyer to come to the country's seller to see everything is real. Almost going to give up and put a blanket over all the FREE MEMBERS listed under Indonesian flag as scammers, I found one in the page that is genuine.
The Administration team should recommend to Management to hire someone there full time, or part-time, to pay him/her to do the job of cleaning up the mess.
Someone who is bilingual in the local language as in English, or even trilingual in the two plus Chinese.
This person should regularly go into the membership files and bust all the scammers and would-be scammers.

- Alibaba team goes through the list of Indonesian Free Members and verify one by one, the contact, phone numbers, address, zip code or postal code and the company names.
- Make it more stringent for the Free Members, let them make a call back by phone in order to qualify for the Free Member. This call back to Alibaba will be a Caller ID line, where the caller can be identified, no public phone line or Mobile phone line will be accepted.
- Make another data point entry for the Business Registration number.
- Filter the form for country of origin, ID, phone number country code, city code and number of digits.
- Verify it by the Internet, using online Yellow Pages, White Pages and business directories. If they do not match, eliminate them, do not allow such entries, as they tarnish the image of the others in Alibaba.
