When do you need certifications for import/export?

I am selling one electrical device and I only need a customs form to ship internationally. We are about to sell other products as well. When would you need certifications to do gobal business???[em6]

You don't need certificates to do global business, but maybe you need to have your company registration updated - just go ahead.
Depending on the product you export you may need to supply different certificates for your product to go through customs in the customers country.
That is information that the customer must provide.

Replying to [avcom ]:Electrical devices for industrial use and some household ones, needs industry certifications such us UL/FM, VDE, BS, IEC, etc. to be accepted in the industry. [em37]

Different country has different system.

To export electric device to foreign countries, you must provide certain safety certifications to meet your destination country's safety requests.Like CE, CCC, for China; In Europe, you must provide EC, CE, EN; In Canada, you must provide CSA; Japan, PSE; etc.all different certifications.
