If any company sells more than one kind of products ( for example : Clothes, Electronic etc.), you should definetely ignore them. How does a company sell clothes and electronic at the same time ?? :)

Quoting from [Safe Trading Admin]:Please do not trust this Gold Supplier http://ythuajian.preview.alibaba.com/ they have scammed our company and will do the same to you ..The person in direct contacty is named Rose and she will lie to you send you fraudlent information and try to steal as much from you as you can we have dedicated to finding these fraudlent dealers and making sure they are exposed, Alibaba needs to work on a better screening process, and more disiplinary actions for these bad sellers. here is the company info. http://ythuajian.preview.alibaba.com/I recently joined Alibaba.com. I sent a message around saying that I was looking for clothes and I got a few replies back, and got talking to one supplier on MSN. I looked at his website, and enquired about the cost of his mobile phones - the apple iPhone was $250, so I immediately saw dollar signs in my mind! I want to buy ten phones, but I am hesitating about dealing with this supplier.
How to do your due diligence in this case:
1. If the supplier usually sells products in a completely different line, take care as you may be dealing with a fraudulent company. e.g. a clothing supplier who sells brand name mobile phones as well.
2. Always remember, if it is too good to be true, it probably is. If the price of the products are 50% lower than the normal market price, there is a chance that the products sent will be counterfeits or broken.
3: If a potential business partner claims to be an Alibaba.com Gold Supplier, use the company name they provide and find their company website on Alibaba.com. We recommend you to contact the supplier directly on Alibaba.comusing TradeManagerto
confirm their company details and genuine email address. Some fraudsters will misuse the name of Gold Suppliers to commit fraud.
4: If the supplier insists on Western Union payment only, then choose another supplier. Serious suppliers will always offer a selection of payment methods.Western Union is not the recommended payment method for transferring money to strangers.5. Use the company name, email address or telephone number to do a Google search. If this company's information or website is listed under different company names, it is most likely they are not serious.
6. Search the Alibaba.com Forum to find out if there is any negative feedback against this company.

I am sorry that I was not aware of the alibaba fraud trading forums before I did my first overseas trade, with Indonesia.( I was trying to buy electric mobility scooters )
I lost US$1720 as soon as PT INDO WHEELCHAIR, Mr. Suranta Darmawan, received my money into BANK MANDIRI, (I've since read a lot of posts where the scammers in Indonesia are using BANK MANDIRI )
I have made a NSW Police report, and also submitted a report to the Indonesian Embassy Police, and also AUSTRAC.
I hope they can do something as Indonesia has a full blown fraudsters business going; who knows if any of these funds are going to * organisations as well.
This was a sharp learning curve for me, and also will not do much for Indonesia in the long run.
ALIBABA, should have a mandatory short training course for all newcomers to warn them of what I, and it seems, heaps of others have experienced.I recently joined Alibaba.com. I too fell in the same trap. The following company contacted me with an offer to supply to me Cellphones. I was clear in my ad and my conversations with them. They added me to their msn and chained called me to get my order and payment through western Union.
I asked for authentic Nokia E90 and Nokia N95 8gb (North American Versions) which they assured suppling to me. I sent them multiple emails to be sure that they clearly understood what we talked about on phone or chat conversations.
Sent me non working stuff and just disappeared in thin air.
The thing is, they where fakes and not what i asked. the N95 wasn't the 8gb I asked for. Non of them recognise that even the sim card is in.

I have all evidence of money transactions, follow up communications, the emails I wrote to them after the transactions. I even called the so called company where some woman who clearly knew my names was instructing the guy on phone to say "she doesn't work here"
