If one person could answer this they would corner the market on the products.  My best advise to you is to visit as many trade fairs as you can and talk to and listen to as many people as possible at each of them.  The other things are world wide economics as well as the predicted outlook economically for your own country.  Things that do well on a consistent basis are personal products and devices, beverages, food stuffs.  These three categories are wide and far reaching.

ranger

Replying to [beginning of dream]:Most probably the world will continue to democratize and genrally peaceful conditions will prevail and so the worldwide demand will be for butter and not guns. Maslow's hierarchy of motivation should provide the answer in that the most popular goods will be good deals in good quality natural food and health care products followed by better transportation products and so on, depending on levels of regional development.[em1]

Back to early last year or even earlier, people were saying that the market for MP4 players is gonna boom soon, and it seems this market is really booming as we can see buying and selling leads of MP4 players almost everywhere. But the fact is, up to now, most of MP4 dealers like us earn little out of it. [em4] Now I'm planning to go out to more fairs and see by myself what are being sold and what are in buyers' need. After that, I'm gonna target a niche market where there's room for me to play. The local industry advantages will also be taken into my consideration seriously.

Replying to [Irwin the one]:i got your point, friend!I think most of us dealers can't earn too much money in such popular goods. You know,as a chinese, our goods are cheap based on our cheap cheap cheap labour force.
Maybe if you were the first one to open the new market,i am sure you can earn a lots..then some time pass by,chinese compete against chinese, they always do business via the lower price, not for the high quality, how can we earn money???

Hey Shaman,
As an Israeli (IL right?) you should know better. Idealistic dreams do not survive our reality, and that is- that the national security budgets are the largest, I think in most countries.
