Pinkle, Largest hockey market in eastern europe is Russia by far. Other European countries that are major hockey countries are Sweden/ Finland/ Norway and Germany. All of these are considered western europe.
I would suggest you look up each of those countries and get the information for their Embassies in Beijing to start. Contact each of those Embassies and ask them for a list of hockey equipment companies (wholesale and retail). That will give you a good place to start. English would be an acceptable language for all of those countries as major companies will be fine working with you in that language.

Replying to [Pinkle]:Pinkle,
Get the phone number of the consulates in Beijing (or whichever city in China they are in) and call them. Ask for the Trade/ Commercial section and then start from that point.
Someone in that department should be able to help you compile a list of major retailers/ wholesalers in their own country who buy Hockey equip.
If they do not have enough info to help with that ask them for contacts for the main Chambers of Commerce in their countries. (retailers association maybe also).
It takes time but is certainly worth the few hours of digging around.
