T/T payment of 70%

Hello.Because I'm new in this I have one question since everything was ok regarding my import:
I paid the 30% T/T when I've placed the order, the goods are on the way to CHICAGO from yesterday. My questions is: When do I have to make the second installment of 70% T/T? As soon as I will receive the B/L ,commercial invoice and packing list or they will send those to me after I'll send them the 70% T/T?

Replying to [Foow]: I made a 30% payment (aprox $2500) and now I'm waiting for an answer from them.I also had KRT pre-shipment inspection for the goods and the report was positive. I did not receive any copies of the import documents yet. In a private message I could give you the company name also, just because everything is still pending I don't want to affect theirs feedbacks.

My apologies, I read that incorrectly. As a general rule the 70% is required on delivery of the BL to you or your agent.
I'm going to ask Ranger to reply to this as he knows FAR more than I do regarding this stuff!

Replying to [shc79]:I think if you approach your Banker they will tell you the proceedure to be followed.
Normally it will be safe if you pay the amount after the actual receipt of goods in good coditions.

The time for you to pay the 70% amount is after the seller have faxed you the copy of the B/L, P/I,P/L,or other documents you required, and check them whether there is any problem on them, if everything is ok, you can pay to them.

If you arnt happy using T/T try one of these common methods.
