The China Custom request travellers to declare if you carry more than
50 grams of gold or silver jewelry & US$5000.
For Hong Kong, no limit for any amount of money ,jewelry , in some way also no limitation, but you better prepare an invoice, in case the H.K. Custom stops you, you can declare with you invoice.
But, never do this for China Custom which is more strict.
