seunjay2k - Know your seller very well before you send money. Try to verify your seller through associations like chamber of commerce in the sellers country country, government trade agencies including asking three references and contact them personally, though there are chances that he will provide you with names that are bogus. Don't rush it, if you do you will lose big time!

First Alibaba shall never guaranttee you anything on this topic because they did not screen any of their members online. A company called Huaxia should be responsible for this.

You have to do more Due Diligence work before payment no matter who you'd like to deal with. It's your own business to do international trade.

I suggest you may start with sampling first, and try to get your goods inspected by a third-party company before delivery when your order is large enough. Take care !

Replying to [habibou]: Your only protection is to buy from authorized distributors of the name brand and or traders that offer POP inspection. If any trader or broker fails to offer POP inspection then you know immediatley they are fake. Authorized distributors will not however offer a POP inspection as they are already partners with the name brand. Also be aware that you can't buy outside of your region as Manufactures of Cell phones have region specific limited warranties. Therefore you would not want to aquire Asian, or U.S. phones for use in the EU as the end user would be required to send the unit to an asian or U.S. location to be fixed and may even void the warranty.

Replying to [seunjay2k]: Proof Of Product Inspection. There are real suppliers here on this B2B platform but it has in fact been infiltrated by a host of scammers. But I have found that to be true on every site that does not have bonded suppliers. If you click my name under the picture at the right you will see an article that I recently wrote about B2B platforms. As well I placed a link where you can read about what actual B2B platforms are.

If your looking for Brand Name Electronics I would only deal with the supply chain distributors of the brand to insure you are getting what you are paying for.

Hello there,

Be very Careful in dealing with any company out of Africa, since its very hard to track them down, and find out if they are for real or not. Unless you have personal contacts in threre, who can confirm you the identy of the company and etc., don't do business.

The main problem is that even the Embassy can't help you out there. In many cases from Companies from Europe, USA or some parts of Asia, you can get their Tax Id numbers and track them through the net or even the Embassy can give verification, but that is not the case for Africa, so once again if you don´t know them, or don´t have personal contacts who can confirm for you, don´t do Business.

If you are dealing with scrap metals and as such, be also very careful with the inspection since kidnapping is quiet common in Africa, unless you have personal contacts.
