Post 1 of 29
It's getting close to Christmas, so I've decided to
GIVE AWAY 1,000 Points to the person who writes the
BEST CHRISTMAS STORY.
I will NOT be judging the competition personally, I will only Moderate it.Someone from alibaba management will eventually pick the winner. This will be done between the 20th and 24th of December, so hurry up and write the best christmas story.
And this is ONE competition where Moderators are ALSO eligable to enter.![[em3]](http://img.alibaba.com/images/eng/style/icon/emoticons_grin.gif)
IMPORTANT NOTICE:
Due to the fact that the awarding of these 1,000 points would interfere with the Q4 promotion, although this award will close on 23rd December, the actual 1,000 points will NOT be awarded until the 1st week of January when the Q4 Promotion will be over.
THAT is only fair.

Once upon a time, one Christmas morning, there was a beautiful tree in a very large house, the tree was full of the most wonderful Christmas decorations and must have been the best tree in the world.
But the tree was missing something? because of this, the tree did not have that happy Christmas spirit that most trees should have !.
All the other little objects on the tree could feel the same cold feeling that it was not yet right.
The problem was the bright and beautiful angel that sits on the top of the tree was missing, the little mouse on the tree said " Christmas could never be the same without our angel at the top of the tree to protect us all"
Now it's only 5 days till Christmas and the beautiful angel is still not at the top of the tree where she belongs.
Later that night all the objects from the tree decided the only way to get the beautiful angel back to the tree was to dream, and believe that Christmas is for giving and not for taking, and to think about others in the world that might not be as lucky as us.
And later that night, they did just that' they dreamed so so hard, but the real thing was they believe their dreams, and Christmas is all about dreams.
The next morning to their great surprise. they could not close their eyes, as they all starred to the top of the tree,
Yes the beautiful angel was there, so bright and so bold, but very beautiful.
Christmas in that house was the best you could wish for, but remember that dreams are not just for objects on a beautiful tree, or children, but for us all to dream and believe that Christmas is but once a year, have a marry xmas

I want to share the below story however I am not the originator of the same
THANKS TO GOD
I pray that this will bless you as it blessed me.
Hello God,
I called tonight
To talk a little while
I need a friend who'll listen
To my anxiety and trial.
You see, I can't quite make it
Through a day just on my own...
I need your love to guide me,
So I'll never feel alone.
I want to ask you please to keep
My family safe and sound.
Come and fill their lives with confidence
For whatever fate they're bound.
Give me faith, Dear God, to face
Each hour throughout the day,
And not to worry over things
I can't change in any way.
I thank you God for being home
And listening to my call,
For giving me such good advice
When I stumble and fall.
Your number, God, is the only one
That answers every time.
I never get a busy signal,
Never had to pay a dime.
So thank you, God, for listening
To my troubles and my sorrow.
Good night, God, I love You too,
And I'll call again tomorrow!
The man whispered, "God, speak to me"
and a meadowlark sang.
But, the man did not hear.
So the man yelled, "God, speak to me"
and the thunder rolled across the sky.
But, the man did not listen.
The man looked around and said,
"God let me see you."
And a star shined brightly.
But the man did not see.
And, the man shouted,
"God show me a miracle."
And, a life was born.
But, the man did not notice.
So, the man cried out in despair,
"Touch me God,
and let me know
you are here."
Whereupon, God reached down
and touched the man.
But, the man brushed
the butterfl away
and walked on.
I found this to be a great reminder
that God is always around us in the
little and simple things
that we take for granted...
even in our electronic age...
so I would like to add one more:
The man cried,
"God, I need your help!"
And an e-mail arrived reaching out
with good news and encouragement.
But, the man deleted it and continued crying...
Don't miss out on a blessing
because it isn't packaged
the way that you expect.

Replying to [grigo]:Dear Grigo, I wish you and all members Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year 2007.
On the Christmas 2003, we, members of Lions Club Delhi South assembled at residence of Lion President to play Santa Clause to some of the societies, which we have done for 25 years in a row.I am mentioning 2003 for special reason, which you will read at later stage. As usual , our first visit was to Chshire Home, an instituition for spastics , run by Christian missionaries. We joined children on breakfast table and while leaving, gave away gifts to inmates and staff.
Next, we moved on to Tuberclosis Hospital, to distribute Blankets to patients. One member is donating all 110 blankets for 25 years in a row.Our next halt was Prayer meeting with Old Age home to share lunch with inmates and medical check up of inmates by Lion President, who is a Doctor.
Last on agenda was distribution of old woollen cloths to poor habitants in nearby locality.
Agenda over, we settled for our General Body Meeting of the club.
I proposed to the Chair, that we start helping able bodied unemployed with a source of income than go on giving charity. My proposal was recieved with doubt. To most members it seemed too much of effort to provide jobs.
Instead of jobs, I proposed vocations and low cost enterprise. one member volunteered to donate Rupees Five Thousand ( about US $125) if it was feasible to do it.
Before the new year, we selected one person and provided him with a vegetable vending Trolley and fresh vegetables from wholesale market. This man earns equavelent to US$ 2.50 to US$ 3 per day, more than wages of a poen or a clerk in small enterprise.
Since then we have provided similar occupations to individuals and groups to make or sell items of daily needs like, liquid detergents,Brooms, Dusters, Floor mats, and hawkers for snacks, fruits and vegetables, etc.
That Christmas, we learnt a new way of gifting, a livelyhood, to those who need help. The next Lion Governor adopted this programme in July and asked for paticipation of all 71 Lions Clubs of district with some good success.

There I was , standing up on the cold winter night , the snow was coming down hard and the wind was just picking up speed , I kept on walking thinking that the 24 of December , christmas eve was getting close, the lights at the city were dimed by the snow flakes .
I said to my self , what would happen to all those people sitting on the side walk in a night like this , what would be their christmas day like .
I said to to my self , what would happen if there was not christmas to go to , if in their mind was the pain of solitud and misery have had taken their memories of past christmas away.
Out of nowhere I heard the engine of a car raming down the street ,
looking for the way he was driving it looks like he allready was bringing up spirits , of few drinks more that he can handle .
At that point I got to doorstep of my favour Bar, and I was decided to take a night cup, before getting home that night .
Before I was able to even enter the bar, I heard another noise , but this time, it was a child , cryng because he got separated from his family in Mall nearby and started wondering around untill he got out on to the streets and got lost .-
It took me few minutes to convinced him o enter to the Bar so we call either the police or his family .-All of the sudden was people running towards the child , because somebody have seen him wonder off , and his mother was looking for him with tears in her eyes . In a way I was relief of the responsabilty that I was about to aquire, most likely , that explosion of feelings got to me , and decided to step up and go home to find my kids , allready sleeping at the warm home that I work so hard for under the wacht full eye of my wife . After a while I come to the conclusion that christmas is more than just the holliday season, it is the life of each and every one , sorrounded or not , getting around the meaningfull idea of happines and sharing .
I was happy , but sad at the same time , I decided to look at the window to encounter my self in the snow again , I felt the chill of the wind again even thought I was not outside ,I felt my hands and they were cold , but , no one was wandering in the snow , but I come to my final thought before I fall sleep looking at the hipnotic snow flakes ,each and every human being will raise up his spirits in the holliday season and for those who cellebrated the birth of Jesus in diferent ways and forms, will cellebrated to their souls looking into the child that we stiil have inside and reflects on our own hope -
Merry Christmas to the world .-

Replying to [grigo]:Grigo I appreciate your move but if it would have been without any points then we could get to know peoples belief in Jesus.
Well I am not Christain by faith but studied in convent the photograph of Jesus, Mother mary has been engraved on our heart & mind. In ten years of my school life I would always celebrate X-mas in school with my friends under the guaidance of our teachers. It was really enjoyable celebrating Xmas.
THe Xmas tree, decorated with flowers, stars. We also had competition on making decoration on various aspects of life of Jesus. I recall seeing ten commandments in those days in the school. When all the celebration were on we are also asked to make donations, help the poor, feed the hungry and do whatever social service you can do to humanity.
I still enjoy the teaching of school of helping others. Jesus himself the saviour, in fact led the life for his followers & taught the world the attitude of leading an unselfish life. On this X mas when small children wait for their stockings to be filled by Santa claus on X mas day, the theme & the expectation of Lord Jesus are taking a back door in some peoples mind. People are living in materialistic world where they are forgetting the thought of Jesus & his commandments to lead life.
This Xmas I wish everyone Merry Xmas & pray to Lord JEsus that peace stays on this earth an era of brotherhood follows, all wars, hatred gets washed away & people respect each other.
Once again Merry Xmas.

The story of Christmas comes from the Bible. Here is the way it is told by Saint Luke:
And she brought forth her first born son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.
And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone around about them; and they were sore afraid. And the angel said unto them,
"Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto to you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger."
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!!

This happened in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA:
I was participating at an International Convention of the company I represent.
It was lunch time. Before lunch I was talking to the president of a non-profit organization know as "Children's Hunger Fund".
I then decided to go to lunch at a restaurant near by the convention center. I was about to enter the restaurant and a latino women with three small children stoped me and asked money for food becauser they were hungry.
I asked for her husband and she explained her husband passed away three days ago. He was drunk when he was hit by a car.
I then invited them to join me at the restaurant. I called the manager and gave him my credit card and told him to serve whatever they ask. I returned to the convention and told the president of the Children's Hunger Fund about it. He called his local volunteers and they came in twenty minutes.
The volunteers handled the situation in a very professional manner and they took care of this family after the lunch.

About Christmas Day Story!
I don't have a clear memory of something I enjoyed
on This Day. Becoz I haven't spend much effort for
The preparation to make it a Great Day
as The Day seldom falls on Weekend!
I was expecting to Join a dinner group/or see something
special In the Church located on the Wangfujing Street,
the last year of my Graduation in Beijing.
But It was a cold day, and I found it incontinent to take bus to go and considering it would be very late at Night when I come back and Class Tomorow, so I decided to take some walks around the Old Gulou Street Near Our College! But Only Lonely!
After some wandering, I went to my classroom with heater I need
And all lights turned on, It was a day!
I started to read my book as if it was a normal day.
The Exam was approaching and
There were lots of books laid on my desk!
.
I was listening to FM-91.5 for Music while I did silent reading.
When I felt tired, I would stand up and walking to the Window.
I sang, seeing myself in the Glass Window. Somewhat It was a comfort! I made shadow my friends and enjoyed myself with
Music and reciting!
Time passed by!
It was about 10:00 O'clock, I turned the lights and left!
Step by step, I laid my footstep on the ladder after turning off
the corridor Light. Suddenly I heard a burst of laughter on the
second floor!
It was from Class
One (Which was acclaimed to be Best Class with good Monitor
and well-versed Activity Committee), the flash of light
overflown from the Door.
Thru through a *
I saw the students gathering around
the linked desks in an oval circle, and someone playing program in the Middle.
They had Nero Lights and Candles, Very Beautiful.
I was a good Night for them and How Joyful they were!
Oh, All of these didn't belong to me, the fact I wasn't
great enough to make myself in Class One.
With a feeling of loss again, I stepped backward
and walked away, That was a Lonely Day, Christmas Day,
