I wanted to share with your all, I do not know about the originator of this article.

Long ago in a small, far away village, there was place known as the House of 1000 Mirrors.

A small, happy little dog learned of this place and decided to visit. When he arrived, he bounced happily up the stairs to the doorway of the house.

He looked through the doorway with his ears lifted high and his tail wagging as fast as it could. To his great surprise, he found himself staring at 1000 other happy little dogs with their tails wagging just as fast as his. He smiled a great smile, and was answered with 1000 great smiles just as warm and friendly. As he left the House, he thought to himself, "This is a wonderful place. I will come back and visit it often."

In this same village, another little dog, who was not quite as happy as the first one, decided to visit the house. He slowly climbed the stairs and hung his head low as he looked into the door.

When he saw the 1000 unfriendly looking dogs staring back at him, he growled at them and was horrified to see 1000 little dogs growling back at him. As he left, he thought to himself, "That is a horrible place, and I will never go back there again."

All the faces in the world are mirrors. What kind of reflections do you see in the faces of the people you meet?

Replying to [Deepali]:Good story with a nice moral value. But unfortunately these kind of stories remain bookish only and that is the sad part of our lives.

Please note that today people's faces are no longer the true reflection of their own true faces. Morever, humans are different than mirrors. Mirrors do not cheat but a human beings do cheat.

Replying to [Deepali]:Well, I see women in high esteem. so 1000 women see me in high esteem.
but? if a woman sees men in low esteem, how 1000 men look at her?

Replying to [vshanker]:It seems you are a pessimistics. not all people cheats. All you have to do is, you have to believe in yourself.

Replying to [Deepali]: Its not a case of being an optimistic or a pessimistics. What I was trying to bring forward was the real but rude truth which is all around us. Being an optimistic does not mean that one should become so in-sensitive that he starts avoiding to recognize the diseases prevailing in our society.

I feel I am sensitive and not pessimistic. I will be pessimistic when I will say that nothing will happen or nothing will change. But I am not saying that nor do I feel that way.

I believe in myself more than anyone else and always follow my instincts (intution). It is because of having faith in myself that I believe in the following "Urdu" words of one of the Urdu lyrists:"

"Maar Hi Daale, Yeh Dunia Hai Woh,
Ab Tak Jinda Hai, Kyonki Jeene Ka Hunar Rakhte Hai".

Besides, I am a strong believer in the followings:
(i) "Whatever happens, Happens for the best".
&
(ii) "If your wish is fulfilled it is good.
If not fulfilled, it is better, because its GOD's wish."

And fianlly above all, I find myself very much associated with the following words of Swami Vivakanand.
" When I Asked God for Strength
He Gave Me Difficult Situations to Face
When I Asked God for Brain & Brown
He Gave Me Puzzles in Life to Solve
When I Asked God for Happiness
He Showed Me Some Unhappy People
When I Asked God for Wealth
He Showed Me How to Work Hard
When I Asked God for Favors
He Showed Me Opportunities to Work Hard
When I Asked God for Peace
He Showed Me How to Help Others
God Gave Me Nothing I Wanted
He Gave Me Everything I Needed"

I don't think that Swami Vivekanad was a pessimistic in any way.
How can I be termed as a pessimistics then is yet to be understood!!!

Replying to [Deepali]:In my last post, I mentioned A woman of substance.One who gathers knowledge and spreads it, who can differ without ridicule, offence and insult, who can balance between wisdom and advice, who does not cast aspersions and accepts reality.
I want to meet at least one more woman of substance

Replying to [vshanker]:Thanks for the great words of wisdom, I am sorry, I perceived u wrong. Any way, I do agree with all the saying you have mentioned and I believe that One must have the serenity to accept the things he can't change.

Replying to [sixer]:I appreciate your interest, but what I can tell you that each person has its own positive and negative points. you can not get all the roses without accepting thorns. what you can do is just try to see the positive side and overlook the negative parts, the things will be much more easier for you.
