Replying to [cautioustrader]: Cautioustrader, you are very wise and cautious indeed. We have had similar experience (and is still currently ongoing...they want more money). They contacted us and asked for price quotation. We quoted and waited for their response. They came back and said; yes we like your price and could you please supply us this huge qty? But you and directors must come to our office in Xian China to sign the contract. So we all went, got there and signed the contract. They asked us to buy them a nice gift that worth several thousand dollars! We caught our flight back and while on the plane, we were still shocked and in a dazed as why didnt we stop to think for a while before agreeing to purchase the gifts! Anyway, the company name is Xi'an Import&Export Trade Co.,Ltd. based in Xincheng Area, Xian City, Shaanxi Province, China. Please anyone who knows of this company with similar experience email us at : greg@jstradeconnections.com Thank you

I got the same thing from Benin, they wanted me to quote a large order then told me I had to have a certificate from the minister of health to cost me nearly $4000.00. These people have even gone as far as to call me.  Watch out , is there anyone on here that is real.

I signed contract with xian haibo import export from xian , then they invite me to go to China and sign contract face to face.Well i ask them for BIC number and certificate for import &export registered, and they didn't sent it me, only an apologize. Obviously a real company don't do that.

Quoting from [cautioustrader]:

Someone contacted me from Benin, West Africa posing as a trading agent for a military organization and wanted to buy a large volume of products from me without even sampling them. Pricing was not an issue, but the only catch was that I would have be personally present in Benin to sign the full contract, and I could not bring a lawyer with me.

I was already suspicious at the "too good to be true" nature of the deal but the requirement for me to be in Benin and without a lawyer caused me to be more wary. I called up the Chamber of Commerce in Benin and verified that the final consumer did not even exist in the country and they warned me that this was surely a scam.

Once they got me to Benin, they would ask me to pay for registering the deal and paying for lawyer fees for the procedure.

I promptly cancelled the deal and backed out. Please be careful of any contacts from West Africa and make sure you contact the local Chambers of Commerce/Trade Commissioners offcs to verify the ligitimacy of the companies.

Safe trading.

I would like to share the expirience of our company. We got a lot of letters with offers , which are too good to be true. But all of these scammers are using the same scheme:

  1. They declare their intention to buy everything you want to sell, but they are not interested in details.
  2. They ask you for the samples. Our company is ready to send any samples they ask for, we even are ready to use any of Speed Post Services (DHL or TNT it doesn't matter), but we ask the scammer to pay for delivery. It means that we don't need their money, they should send us an official confirmation from Speed Post Service office, that they accept any charges or fee, and going to pay for delivery
  3. Usually they quit asking for samples after that[em1]
  4. They may also sing the preliminary variant of the contract for the long-long-term of collaboration, without having any idea about the price.
  5. Next step is to pay to certification of the foreign exporter in their chamber of commerce. WE have made a research and descovered that it is rediculous even for African or Asian countries. So WE say, ok. We will pay for any certification you want us to pay, but we would like to visit your lawer and do it by ourselves. They usually say, yes!!! you are welcome, they say. We Our company is asking for is just pay for all our spenses on that trip.
  6. What we have at the end : all these scammers disappeared.

What i ment to say: If you are not sure about the company, if they make a lot of promisses. If it looks too good to be truth, please fight them, using their weapon: ask them to pay for something.

I hope it was helpful. Entemon trading company.
