we deal with wire mesh products.have business with indian businessman .i meet an indian businessman somedays before,he agree with the price,but they don't pay for by L/C ,insist of using D/P or D/A,the reason he told me is the fees of opening the L/C so higher through their local banking,i dont know it's ture or not.do you know?thanks

Yes opening a L/C is a expensive thing and they have to meet a number of formalities and moreover he might b busy to get all these things done,,,,so as to save the time he might have requested for D/A ..D/P[em7]
