Hello! My name is Melanie. I want to open a online shop with sexy dessous, corsetts, costumes. I have searched many weeks for a manufactorer that has a exportlicence/ quota but all the manufactorers say that they dont know what an exportlicence/quota is. I really need this documents to get the underwear to my home, othewise the customers dont let get me this things. Where can i find manufacoters that really have this documents? I dont want to have problems to have no quota or even false quota. Could anybody help me or know a manufactorer that means it serious? I really want to start an easy friendly and long businneship. Please help me

We are shipping garments frequently to Germany. We don't have an export license. But we do insert commerical invoice with company header then the parcels are delivered.

The export license asking by your customs may mean:

1. Commerical invoice on small shipments; or
2. Full set of exporting documents prepared by the seller, if the are shipping in hundreds of pieces or above. Content of the set of documents varies from country to country.

If your manufacturing sellers are experienced in exporting, they should have these kind of export proceedings ready so you need not to worry.

Now a days after the GATT agreement , and under the MFTA , the quota system has been discontinued: so you need to get the certifiacte of origin from the exporter so that your customs will find from which country you are importing and to excercise the correct tarriff for the same

 

Ask your supplier if they are currently exporting to EU. Is they are, they should be familiar with all documentation required for EU customs clearance.

Also, check they polyester content of what you are trying to import. I believe the law has recently changed but some Chinese items containing polyester were subject to a dumping duty. This may be the quota you are referring to. Again, if your supplier is experienced in EU, they well be well aware of the ways to get around this problem

Quota is eliminated, You can find a manufacturer who have the export license. Post a lead or search suppliers for the same and contact them directly.
