To Tekle: New arrival in alibaba need your suggestions
Post 1 of 9
We are new arrival in alibaba, and we are dealing with integrative swimming pool filter system, which belongs to environmental protection area.
we started our alibaba since last Nov.and we can get at least 3 enquiries each day.and most of them are not system matched, but after our quotation,no one would like to reply back?any reasons?

Why did they show us their interests but no response after our quotation?kidding or joking?

Yes,When we attended trading fair, some of clients will be intereting but they told us that our items are new in world market,so they just show their interests, but no actions.

Pls advise your opinion.

regards,

glen

I think it might due to low market demand on your products. As you said your product is still considering new. Anyhow do not give up, just try to advertise more your products, explain in details so that people know etc. Basically new product need to take time for people to accept!![em10]

We always face this problem from B2B, perhap as your saying, your products are new, they have the interest but just want to check the price etc and at the same time to inspect in their market. If your price or products cannot match their requirements, then will be no reply...
What we can do is trying more effort and find out the best way to go!

dglpool -- Could be a host of reasons. It appears that you have a specialized product. First, unless you are lucky or your product is a breakthrough and beats all competitors in quality, price and service it is rare that you will find a buyer in two month or less. I am not saying that it does not happen, but probably very rare if it does. Secondly, your approach might be wrong. Have you looked at your description of your product very thoroughly? Does it provide enough information for the potential buyer to make a decision? Because your product appears to be technical in nature you need to probably demonstrate how the product works using available technology. Thirdly, you should consider segmenting your market first then target your potential buyers rather than trying to just sell to all, which will probably cost you time and money. Finally, you need to also look at how you are responding to the inquiries.  Are you quoting your buyers using Proforma Invoice? Create a checklist that can help you screen all the inquires that you are receiving and focus on companies that you think might do business with your company.
