I would appreciate any assistance /guidance on this please.As I cannot find any links to the subject having probably been raised before now on the forums.

Question >> When using Trade Manager what if any checks is it best to do ,to make sure that the person you are speaking to DOES actually represent the company you have contacted from suppliers list?

Basically I mean ,,,,to check out that the suppliers Alibaba account and their Trade Manager have not been hacked in some way.

I know I could ask them to send a copy of company registration .Then I could have this checked out .Or telephone them (which I have ). But phoning in itself ,sometimes causing problems with language barriers ,therefore none the wiser as to authenticity.I am just looking to see if there is any method which is quick and fairly reliable.

I did contact Alibaba on this and did receive a reply .But basically all they said was that they could not guarantee that TM accounts had not been hacked.And that diligence checks by users was the way to confirm authentic contact . Which is why I ask the above question .
