So I see a way to make some money and I run with it. Since I own an Iphone I figured I would look at the product description to see where it is made. China...hmmmmm So I contact Putian Huayutrade Co., Ltd. Original description we 100% real Iphone and now it has been changed. Imagine that...lol So I am an***. However, I will not give up that easy. Anyone with knowledge of a good company or companys of factory or refurbished electronic prodcuts please contact me. I will pay an agent for due diligence but I will not get scammed again lol If someone can point me to a legitimate supplier I will pay $$$$. I need cell phone, game systmes, laptop, mp3, and car stereo. I will consider any hot selling items for my website. Please let me know...I am tired and it is rediculous to be scammed on a site like this with "GOLD MEMBER" status written on all of these companys.

As per my other reply to your other post you cannot buy brand name products in China. If you try then you will be disappointed in any number of ways.

Firstly, the scam, which it seems you have already met. Money down the drain and some scammer in China enjoying spending your hard earned cash which you just sent to him.

Secondly, even if you do get some product such as refurbished items, you have no practical guarantee or warranty on those products. Sure the supplier will claim that they offer a 12 month warranty of whatever but look at the small print here. You will need to send the items back to China and back to the states at YOUR COST for repairs. They will be out of your hands for at least two weeks. And what happens if you receive them back again and find that the problem is not fixed or another problem occurs the next week. Are you really going to spend all that money sending the item back again? Do you think that your customer will accept not having the item that they purchased for weeks on end?

Thirdly, as a seller you are legally responsible for the product that you sell in your market. So if something is faulty and causes an injury of damage then you are legally responsible. You live in the US which is the most litiguous society in the world. Is it really worth making a few thousand bucks selling these items if you get yourself sued for millions a little bit down the track? Sure it is unlikely but think about the consequences if it does happen.

Fourthly, the product you import and sell needs to meet certain requirements of your government as far as meeting safety regulations. Are you confident that your items will meet these criteria? If you sell them without the relevant testing done then you could find yourself in a world of trouble legally.

Finally, with every shipment you make you run the risk of losing your money. Scam sellers, careful customs agents plus a host of other incidents could result in all of the money you invest in a given order being confiscated.

Do yourself a favor and be smart about this. If you have money to invest in importing product then don't try to go what seems to be the easy route. Find yourself a genuine product that you can buy and sell legitimately from legitimate suppliers, make legitimate money, and earn your money legitimately. It will be far less stressful and far more rewarding.

Yes iPhones are made in China. By a single factory licensed by Apple. No they do NOT sell them anywhere else or advertise them for sale. its a LICENSED product which means NO-ONE can make them except Apple (under license in China).

Any others you see advertised are fakes or refurbs or not for the US market (they don't comply to FCC regs).

Between us there must be over 100 posts about NAME BRANDS NOT being for general sale. In the US you can only by the from a distributor or reseller (eg ATT).
Refurbished phones are a whole different ball game. IF your qty is large enough then one of the Moderators DOES have a source he might be able to hook you up with.... For other elctronics there are other Mods who know people... I will bet they will asnwer this post for you.

I think it could be 1000s posts made ,never mind 100s ,Before heed MIGHT be taken by potential buyers .On this name brand authentic from China subject .

The more I read these forums ,any tab ,any subject ,scam problem is in them somewhere ,regarding folks being fleeced.Due to their own inexperience or lack of due diligence ,or being conned by masters of deception scammers etc .

Alibaba appear to take a generally passive stance on all this .Sure ,they have warnings about scams /phishing mail /spot the scammer etc .But the overall problem is big enough whereby they should now be a lot more pro-active in ridding the site of the blatant scam suppliers.

Of course they would lose income from the gold and trustpass membership .But in the longer term ,they benefit from the site /platform being regarded and perceived as a safer trading area .

There are a lot of good honest , paying traders on this site .Paying good cash to set out their stalls .But they are up against the general perception of the place being negative .Perhaps If they started voting with their feet and walked away from the site ,the site owners might just heed the fact that all is not rosy in their garden....And that they must hike up their own diligence on which suppliers they allow to advertise on here.

Either that or they watch other organisations coming in to the B2B arena with the financial clout to take on the likes of this site .Meaning , organisations who have sat back and watched the passive stance taken by this sites owners and can capitalise big time on the obvious shortcomings.Their income then not being so certain and assured.

We all know from all these post how much scaming is going on dealing with overseas scamers. Ehere is more scamers then legit companies on Alibaba. I really don't see Ali jumping up and making a move to protect people. The company that is verifing these Gold suppliers are not digging deep enough to 100% verifiy these so called "Gold members" companys.
I have found a good way not to be scamed. I have chosen to only deal with USA companys. Cost a few cents more for the products, But well worth every cent. USA Is still a leading contender in pricing. [em1]

Don't import any brand name products from China!!

I am based in Shanghai, and doing sourcing of sports clothing, and found its actually cheaper buying sportswear direct from Nike than from Chinese suppliers, as the stock gets caught at customs...I've had 7 companies provide me with fake Nike authorizations in the past two years.

Especially don't buy any electronic goods or other products from Putian or surrounding cities in Fujian Province, or Guangzhou in Guangdong Province, as they are 99.99% counterfeit or refurbished -- note that refurbished phones and laptops are illegal to sell in China, so these companies sell them to all the foreigners looking to make a quick buck by getting stock cheaply.
