Replying to [cuihua]:firstly you compare your quality with your competitors.

If the quality is same as you sell in the market then you have to be your products' packing attractive.

For price if your goodwill is good in market then you may less your price as a discount to compete with other competitors.

when your product overwhelm this region your competitor will try to duplicate your product the scenario is similar like plagiarism in the academia my peers was trying to cheating some results from others so i think your product should constantly apply patent when you found it was a niche market

There are several topics you should find out.

First,compare the strength,who has the stronger strength,you or your competitor.To a long competiton,strength is important.Strength including property, cost controlling,quality checking,etc.

Second,compare the quality.whose quality is better.quality could decide your company's fate.

Third,compare the price,whose price is reasonable to buyer.this is difficult to compare,but if you think your quality is better,your price should be more than others.but must reasonable.

Then,compare the sale strategy.your company's and competitor.

cuihua -  Once the competitor is identified your company should find out with certainty what the strategies, objectives, strengths and weaknesses are of your competitor. Depending on the product their strategies could be competing using one or more of the following marketing mix that is aggressive pricing, aggressive promotion and/or streamlined distribution channel. When trying to identify their objectives look for what is the competitor seeking to accomplish in your market? What is their expansion plan? Who is backing the competitor is it a division of a large company? These type of questions should be carefully analyzed. Additionally your company need to collect information on the strengths and weaknesses of the competitor this may include product quality, availability of product and service. By using similar analysis you will be in a better position to challenge your competitor.
