Replying to [grigo]:This one is a tough call. There are some companies registered by trademark to produce stuff, I found one who is certified to produce authentic jordans from china and they are on the nike list to sell.

Replying to [just_me]: There is but one Nike distributor in all of China however they are not authorized to sell nor ship any Nike products outside of mainland China. Hong Kong has its own distributorship. In fact there are only 76 Nike distributorships in the world, and before a distributorship will ship any product to you, you must be an approved re-seller. Re-seller rights are limited to the country in which the business is located only. For instance if a chain store has units in Canada, USA and Mexico. The stores would have to buy from Nike North America for Can/Am stores and then for the stores in Mexico from the distributor in that country. distribution rights do not extend to anywhere in the world. They are all Geographical.

If you are looking for electronic devices such as mobile phones, I Pods, computers, ect I would say probably they are all fake. However since that is not the business that I´m in it doesn´t concern me. I have found a supplier for generators that my company provides for the oil companies in Ecuador.

I have found that Cummins has an agreement with DongFeng to manufacture the smaller 4BT, 6BT, and even the 8.3L C series engines in China. The larger engines the KTA 38G, and the KTA 50G engines are made in the USA and sold to the factories in China. The Stamford alternators and controle pannels are made in the UK. The generators are assembled in China. I can purchase one of these for about $50,000 less that ANY Cummins supplier in the USA.

The only difference is these units cannot be used in the USA since the engines are not EPA complient. Also in Asia the electricity is 50 HZ. So they have to reprogram the engine ECM´s to speed the engines up to 1800 rpms to produce 60 HZ. The reprograming takes about 20 minutes with the Cummins software Insite6.

I have even checked into the freight costs and it is about the same.

I suppose it depends on how you interpret the 2 questions you set out .

If you are a small time buyer ,then no for getting authentic brand name ,direct , from China .

If you are in the chain of suppliers ,and are verified /licenced by the brand name owner/s ,then yes . for getting brand names ORIGINATING in China ,ie manufactured there.But you purchase the product in your own country /region ,not China.

If you have your own brand manufactured in China , yes you can get ........Then the real work begins .Market the product, via a sizeable pot of cash and an experienced multi discipline team .Slog at it and become the next "must have " product

I don't know, but I'm on a mission from god to personally tilt this tendancy. At this point I believe there are just too many people that are getting taken advantage of by ...criminals - selling completely fake, fraudulant items. People can't comprehend the fact that in China, lieing, stealing, and selling fake things seems to be a fad right now- and it's looked at as nothing more than a problem for the buyer beeing dumb enough to buy from the seller.
