Apologies if this info has been posted before ,but reading around the forums ,I think it does no harm to show it again .
For purposes of assistance with due diligence /starter checks and so on for UK companies, the following might help some people. This link takes you to UK Companies House www area. From there, look around the site ,theres a lot of free info available .

This WebCheck service gives a searchable Company Names and Address Index FREE of charge . Information on more than 1.8 million UK companies. The searches can be carried out on a company either by using its name or by using its unique company registration number. In addition to the free company details, you can also use WebCheck to purchase a company’s latest accounts and annual returns as well as a selection of company reports, all online.
Using the basic webcheck gets you down to address level and in some cases phone numbers . But remember ,the information is only as good as what the companies chose to register …..You must carry out your own further checks and satisfy yourself if you want to trade with them .Like the following for example >>
Various reports are available on that site , ref the chosen companies ..Cost of each downloadable document = approx $2.00. - $4.00. Hardly a fortune for some good basic information.
