Sure, branding is important in business world whether you are a manufacturer or a trader as the people trading and/or end-users will remember your product with its brand name rather than your company name.Because a brand name also means a regular quality and/or service guarantee on the products upto some extent,at least, for the end-users and buyers. No doubt these facts is valid for the brands under good brand management

Branding and brand management are important and huge issues to discuss. Let's all learn what the other members think about the same.

Branding is  what seperates you from every other similar product.

we know if we see a brand name than we can understand what we think about it without seeing the product.

Like Sony play station P3, i know what it is, i have that image in my mind, no need to check records, but if the product did not have a brand name on, we would have to check more close, for large companies they must use they own brand, this is their sign, their mark, the customers all other the world will see and know instantly.

If you have a new product and use a brand name not know, than to sell is not so easy, people dont know it, trust, quaity, many issues come forward when a unknown brand is seen.

I give you a question,

Picture this ?

2 x tins of beans in front of you.
both tins dont have any labels on them

1 tin is made by HEINZ , the other by small factory in ?
which one would you really want to eat?

Many people would pay more to eat the HEINZ brand, as it is the best, and the taste is good.

Brand name can give great sales or poor sales.
