How much do people charge for this service?
Hello,
I am new to this forum so I hope this is the correct place to post this question.
I
Could someone please give me advice on how best I can charge for my agent/marketing services?

I have developed a technique whereby I can place products on the first and second pages of Google searches thereby gaining great exposure for the products. The number of page searches of course varies but I have many on page one that are attracting millions of searches.

I have been asked to promote a particular product to dealers/distributors. After research I have discovered that the company has may lines (it is much bigger than I first supposed) and may well wish to employ my services after an initial trail period.

I have been advised to charge a set fee for top Google placements, a set commission once the company gets a distributor through my direct efforts and a percentage of sales sold to that distributor thereafter.

As these products are likely to sell worldwide and I am unfamiliar with the world of sales perhaps someone could help me and even be specific as to percentages. It would at least give me a negotiating position.

Thanks
Ryder

Dear Ryder,
It is difficult to suggest the %,as you have to know how much time you already spent and what you expect from your clientif he is willing to share the profits with you continuously. If you got the payment from you customer and still you need the commissions and ask a high percentage, will your customer accept ?jJust try to put yourself into your client's mind. Therefore, may be you ask around 3 % or below, unless you need to provide some extra works for him ,then it is a matter of another discussion with your client.
Take care!
