What would be the very first initial steps in dealing with someone from China, Indonesia or Singapore in Consumer Electronics?

How verify if legit?  Is there a 'chamber of commerce'?  Is there a way to find agents?  Is the safest way to fly over and verify the company?

I appreciate any help

Re: Dealing with Overseas Suppliers

It would be a little bit difficult to judge one is legit or not,not only in emerging market such as China, but also the Europe and American market.Anyway, talk to them and learn more from them, the more the better, gradually, we'll find something useful to identify  the real one.
