i want to sell the list of my company clients,am i bad?
Post 1 of 6
As the title,I will resign after spring festival.Because my boss has no time concept.Never hand out salary on time, never delivery goods on time, never make payment on time, and so on.
I think sell the information of our clients on the internet can earn a little money and our clients are seeking new suppliers as well all the time.I only feel a little sorry to my company, but it's always enough orders and has no time to achieve.
Am I a bad business lady??Anyone needs this list?

My suggestion to you would be to keep a copy of the list your self and take it to your next job. However do not give this list to them. I usually keep two lists at my desk. The first one is a small one that is kept open and everyone in the company has access to it. These clients were established before I came to the company. The second list is private and kept locked up. I do not reveal the information to anyone in the company. This list will come with me when I leave the company.
I hope this helps.
Best Regards.

Dr.Diesel is right here. If it were your own business, the this list would be your property and you could sell it. In fact, I have done that once.
But in your case, the only thing you can do is copying your personal list of customers/clients (not those of your coworkers) and later tell them that now you work at XYZ company, selling this and that, and that you would like to offer your services again.
Don't go any further! The fact that your boss didn't act very correctly doesn't give you the right to take justice into your own hands.

Actually, you don't even have the right to take a copy of the list with you when you leave. The list is the property of the company you are at. Even if the customers on that list are ones you brought to the company, the information was gained while you worked for the company and thus is owned by them.
Not sure what the law in China might be regarding this, but in any western country you would be commiting a crime by taking that information with you.

Practical solution
Do not practice or do what is called unethical. The world is too small.
What you can do is convert the customers list to be your friends list.
Be their friends , I have many customers converted to friends list.
I think you will know what to do from there.......
Think about it a friend customer list..... what can you do with that...... I just know I will be very rich......
