SGS inspection will save lots of headaches
Post 1 of 41
Before anything is shipped, always ........ and I mean always, ask for an SGS Inspection on anything. This is the best insurance policy anyone may have to protect yourself from receiving materials that are not up to specification as ordered.

SGS will not let a shipment leave, until it meets the contractual terms and description of materials sent.

This applies to everything that is shipped overseas. Everyone should have an inspection certified by Alfred Knight, SGS or any other reputable company.

This stops the seller from shipping goods that have NOT been ordered or do not meet agreed upon specification. Services include Quantity ascertainment Pre shipment inspection at supplierÂ’s premises and ports during loading and un loading Systematic sampling, sample preparation and quality checks Supervision of container loading Inspection and verification of delivered consignments at buyerÂ’s premises Pre-production inspection of raw materials On-line inspection of in process quality levels during production General QC checks prior to transit to ensure conformity with international and national standards For more information you may go to http://www.sgs.com

Dear Greg,

You are absolutely right! I've had good experiences from inspecting the goods before shipping it for last 20 years in trading activities. Somethimes people prefer not to inspect the goods because of its costs, but in my openion, the benifit you get is much more than you pay.
