Well after 1 year on Alibaba I got my first sale. Not that big but at least it's a foot in the door to the US. Just thought I share that with you guys that are having doubts about business on this site.
It's nice to know that some people persist on for such a long time. I have been working to find our first customer for about 5 months, but yet no success. I am thinking about resigning the job. But maybe now I will stay longer and work harder .
Replying to [johnleo]: My factory as a gold supplier since Aug. 2006, since then we received the enquires almost every day, and I had offer a lot of price, but not meet real customer yet.
Replying to [Tina Yang] &[Icejade] Keep in there please just remember to know your product because when you get inquires the buyer can tell very quickly if you know it or not. What really made the sale for me was that I asked him to come over and check out our factory and guess what he did.
Replying to [johnleo]:Good for u John. I did get a buyer when I was a trustpass member in 2005. One unit only but that made me realise that there are genuine buyer in Alibaba. Buyer even paid to my supplier by cash. I strived on. Even though didnt renew my trustp *, I carry on and manage to get two more buyers. For all members infos, I am a marketing consultant for a few suppliers and I have manage to find buyers for three of my products, teak furniture, zircon sand and palm oil. I hope, all you guys who is just starting in Alibaba to be patient. There are genuine buyers but we must have the experienced needed to analyse all those inquiries - genuine or otherwise.
