CFR=CNF

CFR: price includes product cost and freight costs (but no insurance) to an agreed delivery location. Until this point risk and ownership of the goods is yours. You choose forwarder. Eg, CFR Aden means that you carry and deliver the goods to a point agreed with the buyer in the port of Aden, after that it is up to the buyer to do import clearance.

FOB: price includes product cost and freight costs to a certain point where you give the goods to the designated forwarder of the buyer. At this point the risk is transferred to the buyer. The ownership of the goods is transferred by giving the B/L to the buyer. Eg, FOB Macau means you carry the goods from your site to the forwarders' location in Macau.

CFR-Cost and Freight
"Cost and Freight" means that the seller must pay the costs and freight necessary to bring the goods to the named port of destination but the risk of loss of or damage to the goods, as well as any additional costs due to events occurring after the time the goods have been delivered on board the vessel will be transferred from the seller to the buyer when the goods pass the ship's rail in the port of shipment. CFR term requires the seller to clear the goods for export.
