I know mobile phones are quite convenient means of communication these days.
But sometimes, don't you feel that people have become slaves to them.

Todays people don´t have the patience like they did in the old days. Everything has to be now, and has to be fast.
Yes mobile phones to a business man are essential but, not neccessary for private life.
More then men, women have become slaves of mobile phones, since they can chat where ever they are, and with whom ever they want.
Its more or less a womens object, rather then man.
For majority of man its only a means of work, to a woman its also pleasure, in literal sense, specially the vibrating functions.
Todays people cannot go on without the mobile phone, even simple tasks become difficult. The reason is that todays people are dependent, and need to call up for every little thing.
The worst thing I know is that everyone is calling you while you sit in the toilet, then the next question is what color is it, when are you coming out, what are you wearing, what are you feeling. and when you are finished with the toilet, the person might be standing right infront of you, but there is not much to be said anymore.
I feel the mobile phone if seen from a work perspective should remain that. People have lost personal touch, and also patience.
You might not believe that but i know a couple who only discusses their issues on sms, and another very very funny thing I know is that one of my Aunts wakes up her kids with the mobile phone, even if she is standing at next to the bed, how weird is that. Or the worst thing I know is people actully masturbating with the mobile.
Surely it has its uses, but limit is a limit people forget that.

Replying to [macs2005]: Yes, The innovation and growth on the mobile phones front is astonishing. The mobile phone is rapidly becoming the outstanding device and the one device that seems to have it all and becomes even more indispensable than it is now. Mobile phones have already started functioning as more than just communications devices. Mobiles serve as watches and alarm clocks and even with limited free games that come with basic phones, they are already good for "time-pass". They can also function as calculator etc. In this world each and every one should be Contingent to one other. Bcoz in this model world, people should walk along with the latest trend & latest society peoples and should makeup ur mind according to that. If not we will be called as an "fools". There are lot of reasons why the poples r gone mobile crazy. Even the mobile phone is quiet useful for the deaf peoples, they can communicate with the other peoples with the help of SMS in the vibrate mode. But what about the blind peoples???? is their any future prospect or theories for the blind peoples with the mobile phonesssssssssss???????

I once lost my mobile and it was a really frustrating experience, just like lossing your car key when you are really in a hurry. Lets just say its one parasite we are happy to live with
