Global Warming Effects - Satellite Pictures of South Pole Ice Cap breaking up.
In recent years since 1995, Antarctica the world's biggest ice block has been chipping away in big blocks as observed by Geologists.

2002, March 19, one monster iceberg, twice the size of Rhode Island named B-22, the size 53 miles long and 40 miles wide was drifting towards the Amundsen sea.

Increasingly larger icebergs breaking free from Antarctica, some as large as 4,000 square miles or 10,000 square kilometers.

What causes this monster ice bergs and other phenomena such as forest fires in Australia and USA and the El nino and La Nina effects?

See Website for the El NINO and LA NINA effects:

Dear vxglobal,

Thank you for this discovery that the Sun is equally, if not more responsible for the Global warming phenomenon.

However, not to rule out the greenhouse effect caused by the Carbon Dioxide and other gases. and other factors such as the hole in the ozone layer at the South Pole, which shields ultraviolet rays from the Sun.

It is part nature, and part man who caused the Global warming effect. If it is nature, then mere mortal beings cannot do anything about it. But if it is the cause of our own neglect, the Kyoto Protocol can help ease the situation.

The Sun is like nuclear fusion, it has the magnetic field to contain the Hydrogen ions and fuse them to form Heilum, releasing tremendous amount of energy.

As we may summarise and conclude, the temperature rise is caused by the increased activitiy of the Sun, with its solar flares and increased nuclear activities. The greenhouse effect may have contributed to the rise in the atmospheric temperature, if any at all caused by the increased release of carbon dioxide in the air.

This subject has become hot again, as the effect of Climate change gets more often and in more places than ever.

In the USA Midwest, the Mississippi river broke its banks, and in South China, devastations of floods and landslides, in Philippines, Vietnam, Myanmar, Indonesia, and many parts of the world, we see mother nature taking her revenge.

What is your take on this?

I would like to see the question asked as follows:

Who is working to help virgin earth?  What are you doing about it?

The * has been committed and what can we all do to prevent such an act in the future?

Human being makes the nature polluted, causing Global warming. Human being is the raper!

Regardless whether or not Global Warming is the reason for the ice caps melting and the strange weather, we need to change the way we live and treat our planet.  We act like we have unlimited resources that have no effect on the planet.  Even if it is natural for the earth to go through this phase, we still need to do something before its too late.

Man has raped the virgin earth himself mainly due to his greedines for money.

Construction of high rise and large scale industrial complexes disregarding and ignoring and the environment and humans living in the concerned areas. Even if the areas are prohibited, they oil the palm of the officials and carry on with their projects thinking of saving a fortune for their descendants, alas, forgetting that their own follies will ruin their own future genertaions, who will be left only with money for food.

This article was written nearly two years ago, the trend towards Global Warming and Climate Change is not changing, but has accelerated recently.

The El Nino effect of Dry Season, no rain causes mass devastations in California and Australia with wild fires burning up hecters of land and houses on their paths. These cause more release of the Greenhouse gas, mainly Carbon Dioxide which is the most common emission by people. Even the softdrinks and beer are injected with Carbon Dioxide, to go green in this sense is not to drink carbonated drinks.

The latest hurricane Ike, landed in US with heavy destruction, the fourth most costly calamity in US History. Last two or three weeks back, they were bracing for the Gustav, and it did not pick up speed after it hit the West Indies. It is the La Nina, of high velocity winds and heavy moisture and mankind cannot do anything to stop it, or prevent more of the storms to come during the break of winter.

Climatic changes are caused more by ocean currents than atmospheric conditions, because the ocean currents has much greater latent heat, and affects the temperature of the air above it. If air temperature rises, the pressure drops due to expansion, and that causes a depression. Higher pressure zones naturally flows to the depressed region, and wind is created. The Gulf of Mexico is an ideal basin for cyclones and hurricane to birth, the land mass is a fast heating and cooling block, which in the heat of the Sun will bring temperature up quickier and the pressure drop drastically, so drawing the winds from South of the West Indies to hit land, with the State of Louisiana right in the bull's eye.

How many more storms are in the making? I cannot see a downplay to the potential hurricanes that will be hitting the Gulf States in the next decade. I rather ask: What can we do to avert such storms, many Scientists and Metrologists attribute it to Climate Change and Global Warming. If it is caused by man, then we can make an effort to change our lifestyle and do an audit to lessen the GHG which effects Global warming.

What do you think?
