In the CIF term what extra charges we have to pay after reaching the container in our destination port.

Replying to [Munnu]:You have to pay the Different-2 Chages, Custom Charges, if you not release your container within detention time then you have to pay heavy demprage charges. Transportation charges from port to your destination.

Replying to [Munnu]:In general (not specific India):
Cost to the stevedore company to handle your goods and loading on your truck.
If the goods are transported before declared and custom paid, a transport document for transporting undeclared goods.

Besides that:
Fee for declaring the goods to a customs agent
Freight company if you don't have your own truck picking up.

           Better you can verify with a Clearing agent: I think many of our exporters/importers are have no time to look after this small events;


Normally when the ship reach the port, the clearing agent will clear the document from the customs,take the goods from the ship and handed over the same to us. So customs cahrges, transport and THC.. The handling charges are there in a CIF consignment.
