AG EXPO is a very important platform to promote agricultural products.  Last Sunday I was lucky to have the opportunity attending the ongoing Zhejiang Agricultural EXPO in Hangzhou (Dec.1-6). Below are photos I took at the expo, hope you like it.

1 Tea Garden

According to the EXPO data, Zhejiang is the largest tea production & export province in China and it owns top tea product brands with extremely high quality. Also, the beautiful tea garden is an attractive domestic travel spot itself.

2 Mushrooms and Turtles Cultivation

With a relatively higher living standard, people in Zhejiang pay lots of attention on health keeping, which results in a prospective health & care product market including mushrooms and turtle cultivation and deep process products.

3 Ornamental fish

Though the ornamental fish is a new-started industry in , local companies in Zhejiang has already won a breakthrough in recent years. It is said that the made-in-Zhejiang ornamental fish has already been sent to oversea markets.

4 Horticultural Products

There are hundreds of fruit, vegetables and ornamental plants from different provinces shown in this EXPO. Some are new varieties.

The counter sales said it was a new hybrid of orange and pomelo. Despite the regular look, this fruit tastes really juicy and sweet, very good.

Perhaps it is some type of Xinjiang fragrant pear, or some new pear variety. The kinds of pears look very small and cute. Its price is about 20 RMB/kg.

I have no idea if it is a new pomelo variety. But a short potted pomelo tree with so many and big fruit really surprises me.

Is it funny? This plant is called Fanshu in China, but I am not sure of its English name (sweet potato?) It is shown here due to its large sizeJ
