ELECTRONIC PRODUCTS FROM CHINA SEIZED 7 replies,1094 views

Today, Nov. 30th, all electronic products which arrived at Customs in Los Angeles, CA were seized. The ships were not allowed to unload their goods.....the reason.....products contained too much lead and they were FAKE. BEWARE AS SEVERE PENALTIES WERE ASSESSED TO CHINA MFGS. AND SUPPLIERS TO WHOM THE PRODUCTS WERE SENT IN USA, AS WELL AS INDIVIDUALS ORDERING SMALL AMOUNTS FOR PERSONAL USE. NO MORE IPHONES, NINTENDO WIIS AND THE LIKE ALLOWED IN USA. THE PRICE WILL BE VERY CHEAP, VERY SOON. THERE WAS RIOTING AT THE WHARF.

A half-brained monkey would have more intelligence than all the thousands of dumb Western importers put together who do not spend months in checking out the certification requirements for electronic products including mobile phones before wasting their precious money to import same.

Even a half-brained monkey has more intelligence than to live on "hope" rather than on reality as is endemic among first time Western importers.

Reality has a way of waking or catching up with people.

For a very long time, the Balance sheets have been the guide to Many Importers.

I hope the recent events would advice all of us through the same sheets. [em18]

The ultimate sufferer, as you put it. Is the brand Name company owner and the consumer!!

These "exporters" as you call them are selling ILLEGAL products and deserve to be put out of business. Unfortunately there are still way too many buyers who think they are getting brand name products cheaply and then get ripped off or else have their goods seized.

Rough numbers for 2007 (1st half) for the EU and the USA, are that Fakes from China are totalling over 4 BILLION dollars so far (no idea what exchange rate they used).

Numbers for India/ Pakistan are up near the billion dollar mark also.

Replying to [Aussie]:Yeah...let us celebrate the fraud of the weak and poor. Hurray! Expressing an ounce of humanity would be like giving the half-brained monkey anything other than a wire monkey for a mother...or slowing your down to avoid running over puppies or small children.

On a serious note, I appreciate the review for lead. It is a victory for kids.[em19]
