Hi Nancy,
I think he/she is very likely a hunter of price, but you could not contact with him. As we just doubt. You should ask him about the feedback of the price from his customer after quoting the price to him. Your quotation is higher than usual to him. If he says your price is high at his local, you could ask his target price. You must learn to push the course of each business. You should assume the offensive, don't waiting.
Good Luck!

Replying to [nancylt]: Usually pure-hearted customer can not do business like that. They should send feeback on your price, and then all the two sides work hard to meet a common goal

Replying to [nancylt]:You must ask him to place an order. I have given you alot of pricing information, I am happy to give you more, but first you should place an order. Don't worry about losing a customer, he is not a customer now. He is a shopper. Make him a be a customer. Do you have time for shoppers or do you want customers?

Replying to [Liam33712]:yeah.I agree with your idea. We don't have the duty to quote price. We want to get a order and we quote the price. That's the purpose. If he just wanna you offer the price and don't wanna drop a order, you'd better tell him/her your feeling. You don't have the duty to do that.

Replying to [nancylt]:It seems to me that this `client ` is an agent.
Each day he finds new possible clients and then needs the info from you.
Did he ever place any order to you ?
Anyway it seems that he is interested to work with you, 3 e-mails a day is quite a lot, and he might be dependent on a team - so each time need some more information from you.
I would advice just to reply on his e-amails to the best of your capacity and sooner or later he must place some nice orders.
Good Luck !

He is doing it with a purpose. He is taking time out to gather information from you. These are the FACTS. What exactly he is doing with the information, YOU don't know. What purpose you are serving in his scheme of things, YOU are yet to know. He does.
My advice is, pl do not be USED. You HAVE invested your time, given him a long rope. If you have not yet received what YOU want (orders), then I suggest that you mind your own business.

I mean, go where your purpose gets served. This has not worked out, that much is evident. Move on. Spend time on making YOUR business grow.
