Wrong, then there will be no more wealthy people, everybody poor, no more enterprises, no industries, no jobs and everybody go to live in Nigeria.
How about that?

We have to look at the cause and effect, the root of poverty and wealth.
FORTUNE magazine No. 22 entitled THE Tao of Jack on the cover. How Alibaba's Jack Ma built China's hottest Internet Company.
Alibaba's IPO beat eBay and is one of the hottest Internet IPO since Google, to be the country's largest online marketplace. Alibaba floated 17% of its shares in Hong Kong, and it is $1.7billion stock offering, shot up 3 times to $5.13.
Jack Ma saw the opportunity in Internet trading after an incident in California, where he was dispatched by a government entity to settle a dispute between a Chinese firm and a US partner. A man brandished a gun and locked Ma in the Malibu mansion for two days. Ma then talked his way out of the situation by agreeing to become the man's partner in an Internet setup in China. Then he fled to Seattle, where an American friend showed him how to search the web. So the story goes, and the birthplace of Alibaba was in the apartment from which was launched Alibaba.com in 1999. Then it was called Alimama.
To come to my point, wealth does not come easy to some people, they worked hard, strike the right key, know the right people and seize the right opportunity at the right time, right place and with the right resources.
Why should they share their wealth with the down and out? There are so many, that even all the wealth cannot help them, if they do not want to help themselves.
I mentioned Nigeria, because of the irony of this country. In the same magazine, an article entitled "The Heart of Darkness" caught my attention.
Nigeria is the largest producer of Oil in Africa, Lagos is Africa's largest city with population of 10 million. But large parts of the day, the city is without power, the country's generates 4000 megawatts of electricity for its 140 million people, but the power plant in Lagos with a capacity of 1320 megawatts with four units of its turbines running, while two units have been cannibalized to repair the remaining four. On bad days the gas pipe lines were sabotaged, and the plant shuts down completely. People are stealing the oil and gas from valve taps on the pipelines.
The World Bank estimates that the country is losing about $600 million a year because of inadequate supplies of electricity.
In closing, it is not the amount of wealth or money you bring in to make the people rich, it is how you manage the amount of money you have and work out an honest living.

You're right maybe we should let the rich stay rich, so they may continue to innovate, create more wealth, and create more jobs for the poor. Handing out cash to the poor may not be a viable long term solution. Better to teach them how to fish..

"The beggar loves to receive charity from the wealthy landlord."
By merely distributing money of rich amongst poor is not the solution of the problems of poor or poverty in general. This will only encourage the tendencies of becoming beggars amongst the poor.
A sincere solution of removing poverty is a two way task to be handled by the Govt as well as by big industrialists.
1. The govt. is required to create an atmosphere where investments from rich can be invited. Providing better law and order, better infrastructure facilities, providing basic and technical education to all, better banking system and financial packages are some of the measures needed to facilitate industrialists to invest and create emplyment opprtuinities. These measures can only be provided by the Govt.
2. Big Industrialists or entrepreneurs are required to provide opportunities for the m by establishing industries/factories/service industries to make people work and earn in a dignified way, improve their living standards besides contributing to their country in building national capital.
The idea should be to develop or to improve the quality of the human resource of any poor country and not to make them beggars who only consume with no productive capabilities.
Serious efforts from both the sectors - Govt as well as Private (rich industrialists) are required to improve living status of their own people.
