3 originals and copies. The Three originals are negotiable copies. Without the original the goods cannot be released. The copies of the BL are called non-negotiable copies

In air shipment, AWB is the document for proof of shipment. i t should be produced for clearing the goods. But even without the original AWB, the goods can be cleared. The AWB is not a negotiable instrument.
